ABOUT THE ROLE Alongside another Team Leader, the Patient Services Team Leader will play a lead role in coordinating the daily operations of a busy patient services team that work across reception, switchboard, admissions, pre-admissions, bookings, estimates and ex-gratia. You will be responsible for delegating tasks to the team to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and effectively, while also providing guidance and support to the team. Reporting into the Patient Service Manager, you will support with staff rostering, training, allocating tasks, and resolving issues. You will also support with duties across patient admissions including undertaking private health fund checks, patient bookings, monitoring data in the patient database, reporting and other administrative duties across patient admissions. DUTIES Provide support and guidance for staff working across the Patient Services team, taking the initiative in resolving any patient escalations. Support with rostering, staff allocations and leave requests. Manage bookings and patient flow for practitioners. Ensure accurate completion of required patient documentation. Manage processes and procedures including record storage. SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Previous experience in a team leader position or similar Previous experience working in the medical/healthcare sector would be highly advantageous Excellent customer service and communication skills Excellent time management and problem-solving skills Proficiency in medical administration processes, procedures and systems would be highly regarded BENEFITS Salary packaging scheme - up to $10k per year - maximising your take home pay!
