$95,187 - $108,734 up to 15.4% Superannuation Enoggera - QLD The Role The role of a Mental Health Promotions Coordinator (MHPC) within the Directorate of Military Mental Health and Psychology will allow you to be innovative, creative, flexible, and challenge you to think outside the box in the way you deliver Mental Health Promotion strategies, activities and training to a unique audience. You will get to work collaboratively with a geographically dispersed team to promote and communicate training, resources, education and events to the Australian Defence Force (ADF) community - written, face-to-face and online. The MHPC coordinates the required resources, trainers, room bookings, course scheduling, marketing and newsletters, as well as maintaining training records and trackers. In addition to coordinating courses the role also requires time away from the desk - as they attend some events, stakeholder meetings, and regularly deliver workshops on suicide prevention, mental health & wellbeing, and alcohol, tobacco and other drugs. The role is varied and requires someone who can organise a multiple of priorities in addition to the above: providing support to other trainers, overseeing training governance requirements, minor technical support to online training, occasional work on weekends and outside of core business hours (with accrual of flex time), and regular overnight travel. About our Team The Military Mental Health Training and Promotions team sits within the Directorate of Military Mental Health and Psychology. The position advertised is based in South Qld region, with regular travel within the region (Brisbane, Amberley, Canungra, Darling Downs), and to other regions when required. The Directorate of Military Mental Health and Psychology is involved in a range of activities supporting the mental health and psychological effectiveness of ADF personnel, including training and education, mental health support programs, policy and governance, organisational climate surveys, and monitoring and evaluation. Within this Directorate, you will be part of an agile and geographically dispersed multi-disciplinary team that provides mental health promotion, prevention, and early intervention services to support ADF members. Our Ideal Candidate Our ideal candidate will possess the following: Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a small team, with capacity to work independently as required. Demonstrated ability to work closely and collaboratively with immediate manager. Demonstrated ability to confidently engage with broad and diverse stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to engage and tailor communication styles to a wide range of audiences both face-to-face and online. Experienced in providing administrative support to meet service delivery: coordination of resources, trainers, room bookings, course scheduling, marketing & newsletters, as well as maintaining training records and trackers. Experienced in regularly delivering a number of workshops across different topics including: suicide prevention, mental health & wellbeing, and alcohol, tobacco and other drugs. Experienced in planning (including needs analysis), development, implementation and evaluation of health promotion initiatives. Desirable tertiary qualification in the relevant discipline, and/ or extensive experience in Mental Health Promotion/Health Promotion, Psychology, Positive Psychology, Wellbeing Science, Health Education, Community Development and Engagement.
