About the Position We are looking to welcome an Engagement and Referral Practitioner to provide active engagement and referral support to vulnerable families where there are child protection concerns. Full time position government funded until 31 March 2027 with possible extension. Level 4 SCHCADS Award. Salary range: $85,127 - $91,588 Superannuation. Key Responsibilities: Maintain a case load of client families and provide short term intervention (maximum of 6 weeks intervention period). This will include families from Indigenous, non-Indigenous and culturally diverse backgrounds. Successfully engage families in a timely manner and gain their consent to refer into appropriate services. About You Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Allied Health, Human Services or Social Work. At least 2 years experience working within the child protection field. Ability to identify family and individual client needs using a child-centred approach. Ability to identify and respond to child protection concerns. Ability to have discussions around safety and complete appropriate safety planning with children and parents. Other Requirements Eligibility for a WWCC or professional exemption.
