Job Description We are seeking a visionary and innovative Executive Chef to lead culinary operations at Novotel Newcastle Beach. This full-time, hands-on role involves overseeing all culinary activities across the restaurant, bar, and conference & events spaces. Oversee all kitchen operations, including food prep, quality control, and inventory management Lead culinary innovation and deliver exceptional food consistently Mentor and inspire the kitchen team, fostering creativity and continuous improvement Collaborate with management to ensure seamless front- and back-of-house operations Manage financials, including food costs, labor planning, and budgeting Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain hygiene standards Partner with local suppliers for high-quality, sustainable ingredients Stay updated on culinary trends and innovate to keep our restaurant at the forefront of Newcastles dining scene Contribute to marketing efforts and represent the restaurant in media and community events Qualifications Experience in a similar role, preferably within the hotel industry Culinary degree or equivalent certification Food Safety Supervisor certificate Knowledge of food hygiene, HACCP, and health regulations Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays Strong culinary skills and passion for creating exceptional dishes Financial acumen with experience in budgeting and cost control Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Problem-solving and decision-making abilities Attention to detail and passion for culinary excellence Willingness to adapt to changing trends and needs Additional Information What is in it for you?
