From large-scale exhibitions and stylish private parties to major brand activations and nationwide events, we provide creative design, high-quality furniture, hospitality, temporary structures, signage, and technical production hire across the country.We are now seeking a proactive, reliable and hands-onBuilding Facilities Managerto join our team, based at our brand-new headquarters in Abbotsford.About the RoleAs theBuilding Facilities Manager, you will take ownership of our Abbotsford facilitys operations, maintenance, and general upkeep. You will ensure a smooth-running, safe and compliant environment for our team and visitors. With a broad scopefrom coordinating contractors and managing budgets, greeting visitors and assisting with logisticsthis is a vital role at the heart of our day-to-day operations.Exceptional Customer Service skills and good presentation is essential as youll be the first point of contact for our clients and customers.The role is hands-on and involves lifting and loading of our hire equipment and requires a good level of physical fitness.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as the first point of contact for visitors and deliveries.Oversee building maintenance, repairs and occasional renovations.Ensure a safe and secure workplace, aligned with OH&S protocols.Monitor compliance with relevant regulations and standards.Manage facility budgets, stock ordering and raising purchase orders.Coordinate contractors, suppliers, and cleaning services.Assist with physical labour, including loading/unloading hire items.Manage internal space usage and sustainability initiatives.What You BringHigh level of reliability, professionalism, and a strong work ethic.Exceptional communication and customer service skills.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Physical capability for manual tasks (bending, lifting, etc.).Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Intermediate computer skills, Microsoft Office and Google Workspace tools and willingness to learn new systems.Flexibility to adjust hours for occasional after-hours events and work on other projects as required.Why Join Harry the hirer?At Harry the hirer, were not just about equipmentwere about experiences.
