Senior Sourcing Manager, Ongoing opportunity based in Sydney, Gosford or Parramatta with hybrid working options availableThe Department of Customer Service (DCS) is looking for an enthusiastic and team-orientated individual to provide high quality leadership to its DCS Procurement Team. The successful applicant will support DCS Procurement by leading and managing a team to deliver the procurement and sourcing process ensuring compliance with relevant legislative and regulatory requirements, to achieve best value for money and meet stakeholder expectation and business objectives.This role will provide a range of specialised strategic sourcing advice and services to agencies within the Department, as well as the DCS Procurement TeamThis position involves working in a fast-paced environment with the opportunity to grow and develop in a supportive and collaborative team. The team sits within the Finance Division of DCS, reporting to the Chief Financial Officer for DCS.DCS Procurement has three functions within the team: Business Partnering, Sourcing, and Centre of Excellence. This role sits within the Sourcing team and reports directly to the Chief Procurement Officer.Your responsibilities will include:Lead and manage the team to deliver best value for money in procurement and sourcing activities adhering to Government processes, procedures, and priorities to meet stakeholder expectations and achieve organisational objectivesIdentify and manage commercial, contractual, operational, financial, reputational, ethical and supply chain risks consolidating opportunities for improvement and innovation to minimise negative impacts on sourcing objectivesLead negotiations on high impact, complex supply arrangements and contract issues to deliver improved efficiencies, cost savings and high-quality procurement outcomesOversee and manage end to end contract management activities including uplifting teams'' capability in delivering best practice customer service and stakeholder engagement to achieve the delivery of contractual obligation to agreed standardsProvide expert, strategic advice to key customers and stakeholders on all aspects of procurement to encourage innovative practices and support the delivery of business and policy directionsLead the development of evidence-based procurement strategies, policies and processes to achieve quality and continuity of supply, procurement savings and improved business outcomesAbout you:You are genuinely passionate about procurement with demonstrable experience delivering excellence in commercial outcomes, sustainable procurement and brokering value for our customers and communities of NSW. This role would suit an expert with experience in a complex procurement environment and perhaps an industry with regulatory frameworks.
