Add expected salary to your profile for insights.Reporting to the Farm Manager, you will be an integral part of managing Tully Sugar''s farming operations.Tully Sugar''s cane farms produce approximately 140,000 tonnes of cane across the Tully District.Our Company: regarded in the Australian Sugar Industry.Future growth and development opportunities.Subsidiary of a global company that retains a strong local community spirit.The RoleYou will be a motivated individual with a good work ethic, assisting our Farm Manager in managing and overseeing the daily operations of our farming activities and workgroup. Reasonable overtime may be required. The role is hands-on, requiring farming knowledge and experience. Weekend work will be scheduled during the crushing season.Our TeamAlongside the Farm Manager, there are four main cane/cultivation employees.Qualifications, Skills, and ExperienceRequired:Experience in broad-acre farming operationsProven competency with farm machinery operationChemical handling certificationUnderstanding of modern cane harvesting practicesCommitment to BMPMaintaining farming operation recordsHR Truck licenceAbility to lead the farm workgroup during the Farm Manager''s absenceBudget and costing knowledge (desirable)Remuneration and Fitness for DutyThis is a full-time, permanent salaried position with an attractive package. Participation in our Fitness for Duty program, including drug and alcohol testing prior to employment, is mandatory.
