About the roleWe are seeking a Commercial Contract Manager to lead the development, negotiation, and management of commercial contracts across our growing portfolio of solar, battery, and hybrid energy projects.In this role, youll play a critical part in shaping project delivery and commercial outcomes by ensuring that all contracts are financially viable, legally sound, and structured to manage risk effectively. You will collaborate with legal, finance, procurement, and project teams to ensure alignment with business strategy, regulatory requirements, and commercial best practice.Youll be responsible for driving contract strategy from concept through executionsupporting key functions such as Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), project finance, M&A due diligence, and market analysis.Key responsibilitiesManage the full life-cycle of commercial contracts, from initial scoping through negotiation, execution, and closeout.Develop contract structures and strategies that balance commercial opportunity with legal and financial risk.Draft, review, and negotiate complex project agreements, ensuring compliance with internal governance and external regulations.Evaluate commercial and financial feasibility of projects, incorporating contractual risks and obligations.Lead or support PPA negotiations with counter-parties, with a strong understanding of energy market mechanisms.Contribute to due diligence processes for mergers, acquisitions, and partnershipsfocusing on contract terms and risk exposure.Model and interpret electricity market scenarios (NEM) to guide project and contract strategy.Build and maintain productive relationships with legal advisors, suppliers, contractors, and regulatory bodies.Act as a key commercial advisor within the project teamtranslating contract terms into clear operational implications.Ensure all contract activities support long-term project success and align with strategic business objectives.About youYou are a commercial contract specialist with strong legal and financial acumen. You understand how contracts underpin complex infrastructure projects and can navigate risk, compliance, and commercial performance with ease. Whether it''s negotiating with external parties or translating legal terms into strategic decisions, you''re confident, detail-driven, and outcome-focused.What youll bring710 years experience in commercial contract management, preferably within renewable energy, utilities, infrastructure, or related sectors.Demonstrated ability to draft, negotiate, and manage large-scale commercial contracts and procurement agreements.Deep understanding of legal principles, financial modelling, and risk mitigation in contract environments.Proven experience managing contract-related risks throughout the life-cycle of capital or infrastructure projects.Strong analytical and commercial evaluation skills, particularly in energy or regulated markets.Skilled in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration (legal, finance, procurement, technical).Experience with PPA structuring, M&A due diligence, or project finance is highly regarded.QualificationsTertiary qualifications in Law, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.Postgraduate studies (MBA, CPA, CFA) are advantageous but not essential.Legal or contract law experiencewhether formal or through deep exposureis highly desirable. #J-18808-Ljbffr
