The Corporate Accountant is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the companys financial records, with a strong focus on the reconciliation and management of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR). This role supports month-end close activities, ensures compliance with internal controls and accounting standards, and contributes to the timely preparation of financial reports in accordance with company policies.As a key member of the finance team, the Corporate Accountant will drive continuous improvement in financial processes and maintain effective relationships with both internal stakeholders and external partners.Key Responsibilities.Manage the Accounts Payable function, including oversight of the AP inbox and vendor communications.Reconcile vendor payments and monthly intercompany recharge to the ERP system.Prepare and reconcile monthly Trade Services Agreement invoices and settlements.Liaise with the overseas finance team and externals to resolve payment queries and transfers.Assist with the monthly Australian/ New Zealand payroll journal entries, including reconciliations of wages, superannuation, payroll tax, annual leave, and long service leave.Execute month-end tasks, including preparation of leave journals, lease adjustments, suspense allocations and prepayments.Maintain and update the Fixed Asset Register, including posting depreciation.Monthly reconciliation of Airwallex and bank statements.Prepare and maintain Australian entities balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring all balances are fully substantiated and supported by appropriate documentation.Assist with corporate tax obligations, including monthly PAYG reconciliation and lodgment.Assist with weekly and monthly group cash flow management and forecasting.Assist in automating manual processes/activities, actively participate in ERP system upgrades and implementations.Develop and maintain documentation related to accounting system processes and procedures.Preparing audit support files for the external auditors and coordinating with auditors to meet the audit/review requirements.Assist the systems team with any reconciliations related to accounting systems, including troubleshooting and system improvements.Support ad hoc finance projects and tasks as directed by the Corporate Accounting Leads or Corporate Accounting Director.Ensure statutory reporting requirements are accurately reflected within the ERP system.The skills we would love to see in your suitcase.Minimum 3 years'' experience in accountingProficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPointPreferred OneStream and D365 system knowledge or exposureFlexible and Adaptable to changing priorities and business environmentProblem solving and attention to detailAble to communicate effectively & professionally both verbally and in writingGood multitasking skills and able to prioritize and meet deadlinesAble to effectively build working relationships with other areas of the business and enjoy working in a teamStrong business partnering skills and ability to communicate complex financial information clearly.Adhere to WEB Travel Group Code of Conduct and all company policies.Take reasonable care to ensure a safe work environment for yourself and others.Follow reasonable direction by management and leadership.WebBeds is a global digital travel marketplace for the travel trade, an intermediary connecting hotels and other travel service suppliers to a distribution network of travel buyers all over the world.
