Our vision of creating proud communities living their best lives is at the heart of everything we do as we continue to build upon our legacy of supporting veterans and their families for more than 100 years.We are currently seeking a highly organised, proactive and dynamic Executive Support Officer to work directly with our Chief Operating Officer (COO) and play a key role in supporting him driving strategic execution, operational alignment, and enterprise-wide governance across the organisation.This newly created role is not your typical executive support position but is a critical role within the organisation. As Executive Support Officer Office of the COO, you will act as a trusted advisor, coordinator, and liaison across senior leadership teams, external stakeholders, and key operational forums. From managing the COOs schedule and communications to leading the execution of cross-functional initiatives and supporting enterprise planning and reporting, your work will directly impact the success of RSL LifeCares mission.Our expectations are that you will:Provide high-level executive support to the COO, including diary and travel managementCoordinate strategic initiatives and ensure execution across business unitsPrepare executive reports, board papers, briefing materials, and correspondenceManage key operational forums and support governance complianceLiaise with internal stakeholders including the Executive Leadership Team, and external parties such as government representatives and partner organisationsDrive process improvement and support business-critical projectsOrganise attendance at conferences and industry events for the COO and operational leadershipContribute to budget tracking, workforce planning, and risk managementA bit about you:Tertiary qualifications in Business, Management, Public Administration or a related fieldMinimum 5 years'' experience in executive support, operations, or project coordinationProven experience supporting senior executives (e.g. COO, CEO)Strong project execution and stakeholder management skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing high-quality executive documentsAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).High level of discretion, professionalism, and ability to work independently and proactivelyDesirable:Certification in Project Management (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP).Experience with reporting tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau).Understanding of governance, enterprise risk, and strategic planning frameworks.Empathy and respect for older Australians, particularly Veterans.Our commitment to diversity:We are proud to stand for our unique values: Do the Right Thing, Aim Higher, Care from the Heart, and Act as One team.We welcome and encourage applications from people across our diverse community, especially from Veterans, current serving ADF personnel, their families and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants.
