Lets begin the conversation.Location: Melbourne-based, remote position, 2-year fixed-term contractThe JobThe role combines Payroll Operations and HR Generalist duties for Australia and New Zealand.Reports to the Manager, HR Operations for ANZ & SEA and is part of the APAC HR Service Delivery team.Supports internal customers across various processes in both countries.Payroll Operations Responsibilities:Ensure accurate, timely payroll processing by providing complete data to the payroll provider.Handle escalated Tier 3 payroll inquiries and communicate resolutions.Manage escalated Workday AMS or Data Management payroll tickets, including triage and resolution.Coordinate with operational counterparts within the HRO supplier organization.Educate process users on new and updated payroll processes.Collaborate with vendors and providers to resolve payroll issues.Perform payroll-related Year-End activities and support statutory reporting.Conduct system testing such as in Workday.Manage payroll systems and vendors.Participate in root cause analysis for payroll performance issues.HR Generalist Responsibilities:Handle escalated queries from Tier 1 and 2 teams.Support CoE programs and new initiatives.Lead annual CoE cycles: merit/bonus, benefits, talent management, goal setting, employee surveys.Update system data following compensation audits.Coordinate onboarding activities per Talent CoE strategy.Advise leaders on promotions, salary, and merit increases.Train leaders on processes and soft skills.Support onboarding and probation reviews.Assist with M&A initiatives and employee relations cases under guidance.Help with Enterprise Agreement administration.Provide reports to HR partners and business leaders.The PersonPreferably hold tertiary HR qualifications.8+ years of progressive HR experience with strong functional knowledge.Experience in regional HR Shared Services is advantageous.Knowledge of Workday; exposure to ServiceNow is a plus.High integrity and professionalism.Excellent attention to detail, able to prioritize in dual-role scenarios.Proven ability to collaborate and build stakeholder relationships in complex environments.Curious and proactive in understanding broader business contexts.Courageous in communication, able to push back or guide stakeholders.Effective in high-pressure, fast-paced situations requiring sound decisions. #J-18808-Ljbffr
