As the Fire Alarm and Suppression Technician, you will perform routine and complex maintenance and repairs on various fire alarm systems and suppression equipment, such as wet sprinklers, kitchen extinguishing, and FM 200 systems. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Inspect, service, maintain, and repair fire alarm and suppression systems. Identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustments or repairs. Ensure work complies with relevant codes. Develop and implement procedures to prevent reoccurrence of defective services. Perform other duties as assigned. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: NICET Certified Level III in Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance of Fire Alarm Systems is required. High School diploma is required. Associate or bachelors degree in engineering is highly desired. Minimum five (5) years of experience in the Fire Protection/Life Safety Industry, including: Experience as a Journeyman and/or Foreman in Fire Alarm & Suppression field. Extensive knowledge of various sprinkler systems (wet, kitchen extinguishing, etc.). KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: Strong knowledge of the National Fire Alarm Code and UFC codes. Ability to read and interpret system design plans and building drawings. Ability to work independently and as part of a team on fire sprinkler systems, including maintenance, testing, repairs, and troubleshooting. Maintain NICET Level II certification for Fire Alarm systems, Special Hazard systems, and Inspection/Testing of Water-Based Systems. Maintain NICET Level III certification for Fire Alarms or Special Hazard systems. TRAVEL: Travel to several facilities at NSA Souda Bay will be required for maintenance tasks. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Valid U.S. Drivers License required. U.S. Passport preferred. Ability to obtain and maintain a Residency Visa for Greece (logistic support privileges are provided as a US hire). Ability to work in environments with dust and high temperatures.
