We run places of healthcare and education, custodial facilities, we manage customer data centres and critical systems, we take asset management risk over 25 years through our portfolio of Public Private Partnership (PPP) contracts, and we are a trusted advisor and partner to our New Zealand and Australian Defence Forces.JOB DESCRIPTIONFamily Friendly working hours (Mon-Thu 0600-1430 Fri 0600-1230 )Free parking, uniforms, PPE and land maintenance equipment are suppliedOpportunity to join a progressive organisation that truly embraces training and developmentWe currently have an opportunity for a Groundsperson Leading Hand who will have the responsibility for the operational day to day delivery of the Land Management services at Canungra Defence site.Implementing Land Management Plans and work schedules for designated areaWork collaboratively with Defence and other Base Services Contractors in the achievement of service delivery objectivesEnsure grounds maintenance and land conservation activities are carried out in accordance with all relevant Acts, regulations, codes and standards, Defence and other statutory authority requirementsProvide solid leadership, motivation and direction to the land management team within designated areaIf you are interested and can offer a high-quality standard of work whilst amongst a dynamic & growing team, we are looking to talk to you.ABOUT YOUSuitability for Defence Security Clearance (Australian citizenship mandatory)Current Drivers licence with minimum MR licence requiredCertificate III in Horticulture or Land Management (preferred)First Aid Certificate (preferred)Chemical Spray Cert and Chainsaw License (preferred)Hands on grounds maintenance and land management experience in similar environment as a supervisor or similar role (preferred)Computer literateABOUT USDowner Group employs approximately 50,000 people across more than 300 sites, primarily in Australia and New Zealand.
