The service provides beds across three campuses (Sale, Maffra and Heyfield). Acute services include a full-time emergency department, critical care unit, neonatal critical care unit, three operating theatres, day procedure unit, oncology and dialysis services in addition to general medical and services and sub-acute services including rehabilitation.CGH is also a leading teaching hospital, affiliated with Monash University''s School of Rural Health and provides placements and clinical experience for students.About DepartmentOur Dental Department is based within the grounds of Central Gippsland Health, Sale. Our clinic runs 5 chairs daily, with a very dynamic and diverse team including Dental Therapists, Oral Health Therapists, Dentists and Pros.About the RoleThis position will provide appropriate general dental services to patients eligible for Victorian public dental services with a focus on those living in Wellington Shire. This role will give you the opportunity to gain experience with Restorations, Crowns, Surgical Extractions, Nitrous, and RCT. This will occur within the principles of care coordination where patients/clients/residents have access to a highly coordinated health care and community support system.DutiesIndependently perform examination, diagnostic investigations, treatment planning and treatment of patients in routine clinical situations at moderate skill level.Provide dental diagnostic and treatment services for those with disabilities and complex medical histories at a moderate skill level.On the basis of a good understanding of the roles of all members of the dental workforce, provide appropriate support and mentoring to other staff.Demonstrate and continuously build knowledge and understanding of dental public health principles.Provide customer service in a professional manner, including appropriate responses to patient enquiries and complaints.Qualifications, Skills and ExperienceBachelor of Dental Surgery, Bachelor of Dentistry or Bachelor of Dental Science or other equivalent Australian (or recognised overseas) QualificationRegistration with the Australian Dental BoardInterest in Public healthSalary Packaging Increase your take-home pay!Employee Assistance ProgramStaff Car ParkCulture of continuous improvementApplicationPlease attach your resume and cover letter to your applicationTestimony from Dr Gregory Steele (Dentist)This job is perfect for anyone looking to gain valuable clinical experience in a low-stress and friendly environment.
