We are seeking Expressions of Interest for a highly capable and collaborative Finance executive for a six-month engagement.As the Deputy CFO, you will work closely with the CFO to provide financial leadership across the organisation. Youll be instrumental in ensuring strong financial governance, supporting strategic decision-making, and driving the delivery of key financial initiatives during this critical period.This role is based in Haymarket with required in-office attendance. Flexible working arrangements are offered.Salary package range from $256,323 per annum inclusive of superannuation, commensurate with experience.Key Responsibilities:Provide senior finance leadership and oversight to the Finance Business Partnering team (4 direct reports Director level) including transparent and timely alignment of budgets, forecasts and monthly results across all divisions.Actively engage with business leaders to identify areas requiring finance expertise, build financial literacy and identify under-leveraged opportunities.Ensure all divisions adopt coherent and consistent approach to financial decision making while embedding accountability and insight driven reporting.Own and manage cross-cutting programs of work ensuring smooth execution and strong engagement with both finance and executive business stakeholders.Lead cultural uplift of the finance function by championing strategic value rather than transactional back-office tasks.Work closely with Finance Leadership Team to deliver on the Departments overall strategy and embed strong finance processes that support agility but maintain strong control frameworks.About You:Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role managing complex stakeholder groups and/or within a complex multi-divisional organisation.Demonstrated ability to drive alignment, consistency and insights across budgets, forecasts and financial results.Strong leader who is passionate about building culture, lifting team maturity and enabling finance to play a more proactive and strategic role.Exceptional communication and leadership capabilities.CA/CPA or equivalent professional qualifications.This EOI is open to current NSW Government employees and represents a unique opportunity to contribute to the financial stewardship of DCS in a key leadership role over a defined period.If you are interested in being considered for this opportunity, please submit your CV and a Cover Letter outlining your suitability.
