Join a dedicated team working to strengthen community connections and improve wellbeing across the Townsville region. We are seeking a Community Engagement Worker to support the delivery of the regions Suicide Prevention Community Action Plan (SPCAP). Using a collective impact approach, youll help drive local engagement, build awareness of suicide prevention strategies, and promote access to support services. Strengthen referral pathways for individuals at risk by linking them to appropriate services About You: You are an excellent communicator with a strong understanding of community engagement principles. Youre passionate about mental health, proactive in building relationships, and confident working both independently and collaboratively. Required Compliance: Relevant qualifications or commensurate experience in working in the mental health or community services sector, generally Certificate IV or Diploma qualification (Health/Mental Health) Right to work within Australia 100 points of identification Current valid Drivers Licence and the ability to undertake some travel Satisfactory National Police Records Check NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate NDIS Worker Screening Check Working with Children''s Check (Employee/PAID) Deisrable Experience in Community Development and/or Suicide Prevention. Experience with program planning, development, coordination and delivery.
