As a Recreation Coordinator you will coordinate and continually develop a recreation program, designed to meet the individual leisure needs of each resident.Your Fortnightly Roster Will Be As BelowWeek 1: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday (0900 1700)Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday (0900 1700)Your Responsibilities And Duties IncludeCo-ordinating and continually developing a recreation program designed to meet the individual leisure needs of each client whilst maximising their recreational independence.Assist with facilitating offsite recreation activities, including driving the bus, either groups of residents, or 1:1Supervise and support other members of the recreation team regarding structure and development of programs.Encouraging clients to maintain their community associations and contactsEnsuring that accurate and relevant documentation is up to datePromoting recreational opportunities available within the broader communityWe Are Looking For Candidates With The FollowingExperience within the social sector or a degree qualification (looked upon favourably) in Leisure and Lifestyle, Psychology, Community Development, education, or a similar disciplineCurrent drivers licence (mandatory)Current First Aid and CPR certificates will be looked on favourablyExperience in working with older peopleExperience in recreational program planning and implementationKnowledge of local area and servicesKnowledge of and ability to utilise community groups and resources.This sounds great!
