We are committed to completion of each project to a high quality; to specification; on time; within budget; and to the satisfaction of the client.POSITION OBJECTIVES:Providing integral support to the operations of the Treloar Group are two workshops focusing on: light vehicle automotive and tyres; and heavy vehicle and plant engineering, mechanical and body work respectively. The position leads both of our workshop areas to ensure that our fleet of light and heavy vehicles and plant is available, dependable and always safe.The successful applicant will be responsible for driving productivity, safety and quality and will encourage continuous improvement across workshop teams.High level interpersonal skills will be utilised to motivate and lead personnel in work environments that are often busy. Organisational skills are also critical, to ensure efficient scheduling and prioritisation of works. The position will require ability in the areas of purchasing and estimating as well as the application of good financial management practices.This exciting opportunity comes with a generous salary package, including a vehicle, that is negotiable based on prior relative experience. Flexible work arrangements are a key advantage of the role.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Ensure all vehicles/machinery are maintained, repaired, serviced and safe to drive and be on the road.Provide strategic as well as daily direction and leadership to the workshop teams to ensure productive and efficient workshop operations to meet or exceed KPIs.Introduce/prioritise where necessary, and ensure operations adhere to Safe Systems of Work at all times.Formulate, submit and adhere to proactive maintenance schedules across our fleet;Create and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships through benchmark customer service practices;Report to the General Manager & Fleet Manager regarding:Business performance and continuous improvement initiatives;Fleet maintenance schedules, delays and unforeseen costs;Asset/fleet management and replacement timelines;Ongoing budgetary management including purchasing of parts and equipment;Human resource management matters generally; andMaintenance of records fleet and customer maintenance history and safety systems.POSITION SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:Ability to operate in a commercial manner to meet KPIs and deadlines.Demonstrated experience in motivation, supervision and leadership to produce results.Excellent interpersonal skills including consultation and conflict resolution.Demonstrated organisational abilities coordination and prioritisation of work.Demonstrable commitment to workplace safety and safe practices always.Excellent attention to detail, written and verbal communication skills including customer service.Ability to identify and implement improvements to operations, and commitment to continuous review.Valid drivers licence.Experience in mechanical/workshop environments is highly desirable but not mandatory.APPLY TO:Cover letters and Applications are to be forwarded via Seek.
