With global expertise, we manage 51.5km of track and 21 stations, with a planned expansion into southwest Sydney.Job DescriptionAbout the RoleWe have an opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager to join our Finance team.Reporting to the Head of Finance, this role supports both accounting and commercial outcomes, delivering financial governance, compliance and control while also playing an important role working across the business in the support of insights for decision making to drive business performance.Key Responsibilities IncludeOwnership of end-to-end accounting governance and compliance, including leading the finance team in the completion of month end cycle, reconciliations, work in progress, project cost coding/tracking/analysis, inventory, fixed assets.Collaboratively work across all functions in the business to ensure the timely invoicing of monthly project cost recoveries.Lead the accounts payable process, working closely with procurement and the business in the alignment of payables.Drive the completion of monthly, half-year and year-end group reporting requirements, including supporting the preparation of monthly management and shareholder reporting presentations.Manage the preparation and lodgement of indirect tax compliance, such as BAS, FBT, Payroll Tax.Work collaboratively with various stakeholders across the business to support the ongoing review of project costs, forecasts and recoveries.Act as SME for finance transactional systems, driving an ongoing focus on data quality, simplification and process improvement.Contribute to a high performance and positive engagement culture aligned with the business FAIR values.Desired Skills And ExperienceAbout YouYou hold a current CA or CPA accreditation with a Bachelor degree (or similar) in accounting.Your expertise in technical accounting, data management, and financial modelling makes you an ideal candidate for this role.You will use your communication skills to guide, build relationships, and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders.You show flexibility and adapt proactively to changing conditions and challenges.
