The OpportunityThe People and Culture Team at Sealink - K''gari are seeking an experienced P&C Business Partner to join a dynamic team.The People and Culture Business Partner role is responsible for collaboratively partnering with key operational leadership stakeholders to effectively deliver P&C strategic and operational people initiatives across the full end to end employee lifecycle.The role will have full accountability of portfolios for full end to end P&C cyclical activities as well as champion culture, inclusion, diversity, engagement, The role will also provide guidance, advice and support for best practices to contribute towards a successful business and culture.The People & Culture Officer will support SeaLink K''gari operations including Kingfisher Bay Resort, K''gari Beach Resort, K''gari Explorer Tours, marine operations and support services, and will be part of a team that values integrity and teamworkThis is a permanent full-time salaried role working 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday.You must have the ability to travel to work from Hervey Bay to K''gari Island via Sealink Ferry every day, or via Plane to K''gari Beach Resort when needed.About YouYou will have exceptional interpersonal skills, able to work autonomously and remotely on K''gari Island as well as in a team. You will be proactive, like to be hands-on, have trust and integrity, energetic and have a positive outlook. An effective communicator (both verbally and in writing), you will have exceptional attention to detail skills to make sure compliance with relevant legislation and obligations are adhere to at all times.You will also have the following:Tertiary Qualifications in Human Resources field or relevant experience.3 years minimum experience in a HR/P&C Business Partner role in a complex or multifunctional organisation.Proven experience in End-to-End HR cyclical activities and ability to use a range of HR platforms and systems.Lead and manage your portfolio recruitment requirements from attraction through to offer of employmentAble to create and facilitate bespoke workshops for key development and education for leaders & employeesProven experience in driving improvements in process, practices and procedures, as well as cost effective initiativesHave a passion for and champion culture, inclusion, diversity and engagement initiativesKnowledge and experience of employment legislation, ER, remuneration and benefits, reward and recognition opportunitiesLead case management and investigations through to resolutionProven experience in performance management, Leadership development & Capability uplift, Succession Planning and Talent Management.Ability to interpret industrial instruments and legislation to provide timely advice to support leaders and employees.Ability to coach, develop and mentor and provide advice for walk-in queries.Ability to work with payroll administration and collaborate with the business regarding rosters and employee entitlements such as uniformsCan do attitude, problem solver and keen to get involvedPeople and culture experience in tourism, hospitality, hotels/resorts, logistics or transport is highly regarded.Key to success in this role, you will be able to work independently in a fast-paced and diverse environment. You will also have exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities and be able to build effective working relationships with all stakeholders.
