Add expected salary to your profile for insights.We are currently recruiting experienced Fitter & Machinists to assemble engineering production equipment and other machinery. Principle responsibility includes ensuring work conforms with instructions provided on Inspection and Process Control Document Records. Some machining such as turning, milling, and grinding will also be required to support our growing team in a well-established, highly respected precision engineering company.Your responsibilities in this role will include:Reporting to the Fitting Shop Team Leader, this role involves bench fitting, machining, assembly, and testing of products.Interpreting engineering drawings, job cards, and specifications to plan work sequencing and meet material, equipment, and consumables requirements.Performing machining operations including turning, milling, grinding, drilling, reaming, boring, shaping, and slotting to produce parts, tools, jigs, and fixtures to tight tolerances.Ensuring the quality and accuracy of work using measuring equipment, and completing dimensional inspection reports.Contributing to the companys objectives, including zero safety incidents, zero warranty claims, and zero re-works.Participating in team discussions and promoting a safe, efficient, and positive workplace.Fitting and assembling parts, tools, or sub-assemblies, including welding or brazing of parts.Maintaining a positive attitude and fostering mutual respect within your team.Organizing your work area and materials for safe and efficient work.Having proven work experience in a similar role is essential.Being open to learning and utilizing new skills.What we offer:An attractive salary package, overtime, and benefits including 17.5% leave loading.Incentives and bonuses for good performance: monthly awards, wage bonuses, and a points system.Onsite training with opportunities to expand your skills and grow within our company.The chance to progress in a well-respected, established firm.Uniform, PPE, tools, and work boots supplied.Off-street parking.If interested, please click on the APPLY button on this page.
