We consistently deliver value to clients throughout all mining stages, leveraging expertise and equipment for comprehensive surface operation services.About the Role:We are seeking a CHPP Operator & Maintainer to join our longstanding team at Meandu Mine. Reporting to the CHPP Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation & maintenance of the Coal Handling Prep Plant.Please note that this is a Residential Mine no camp accommodation or housing provided. As such this role would be best suited to current or returning residents of the Kingaroy region.Key responsibilities:Operate and monitor CHPP equipment safely and efficiently to meet production and coal quality targets.Perform routine maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repairs in line with OEM and safety standards.Operate mobile equipment (dozer, loader) for coal stockpile management and blending.Support CHPP projects and tasks as directed by supervisors, contributing to continuous improvement.Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational procedures.About You:The successful candidate will possess a combination of the following:Proven experience in CHPP operations and/or maintenance within the mining or heavy industry sectors.Hold a relevant Mechanical Trade Certificate (e.g., Fitter).A strong team player with a proactive and safety-first mindset.Possess a current Standard 11 (or willing to obtain).High-risk work licences such as EWP, Forklift, Front End Loader, Dozer, and Bobcat are advantageous.Current Confined Space and Working at Heights certifications.Hold a current and valid Drivers Licence.Able to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards.Working at BUMA:BUMA Australia is a people focused business, with a strong focus on safety, training, development and continuous improvement. We are responsible for both managing and operating the mine. Services provided include planning, drilling, overburden removal, coal mining, coal processing, rehabilitation, and maintenance of mobile and fixed plant. The project uses a combination of dragline and truck-and shovel operations.
