The Fixed Income Operations Client Services Officer handles a variety of daily operational trade processing functions and provides support across the trade life cycle. This role will be focused on daily coupon reconciliations, fixed income trade file preparation for settlements in Euroclear/Austraclear and management of settlement exceptions. The role also supports Laminar Capital which provides fixed income dealing, treasury and advisory services to government organisations, superannuation funds, local councils, ADIs, not-for-profits, wealth managers and sophisticated investors. About the Role Client Service Build effective relationships with clients and dealers Act upon Client instructions within required timeframes (SLAs) Respond to client enquiries relating to various services and financial products Provision of timely information and reports to clients and internal stakeholders Use initiative, work with strict deadlines & perform tasks with high level of accuracy Communicate effectively on issues / problems to Senior Management and ensure a proper and timely follow-up to ensure resolution Appropriate handling of confidential and sensitive information Fixed Income Operations Instruct Euroclear/Austraclear settlements based on trading platform queues Monitor trading platform queues and Euroclear/Austraclear trade settlement instructions Ensure all trades are settled before relevant deadlines Reconciliation of safe custody reports against bank statement Fixed Income security set-up and maintenance Load rates into internal trading platform Validate trade settlements in trading platform Reconcile trade daily instruction files against Euroclear/Austraclear Risk Management Identify risks and determine ways to mitigate them Review and provide input into team Risk Profile Appropriate investigation and escalation of reconciliation, transaction and settlement issues Update procedures in a clear and easy to follow fashion Manage compliance with legal and statutory requirement. About you Must have a minimum of 3 years experience in a comparable fixed income middle office, treasury or settlements role. Demonstrated experience in middle office, settlement and reconciliation processes In-depth knowledge of both of Euroclear and Austraclear (essential to be considered for this role) Knowledge of custody business operations (highly desirable) Demonstrated customer service and relationship management skills.
