About The Role: Reporting to the Kitchen Supervisor, the Kitchenhand will assist chefs and wider Food & Beverage Team with various tasks as needed, provide cooks with needed items and ensure work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, or silverware are cleaned and sanitised. You will need to have excellent communication skills, liaising with team members in the kitchen and other areas of operation; informing supervisors when equipment isnt working properly and when food and supplies require replenishing. The successful candidates will thrive in a busy Kitchen setting with 2 years of experience in back of house duties, providing support to the greater team and delivering quality to a high standard. Your tasks will include dishwashing; food prep; sandwich making; general kitchen cleaning. We are looking for candidates who go above and beyond to create a welcoming and relaxing environment. The facility is open across 7 days, so it is essential that you are flexible in how you can structure your working week. The vacancies we have are primarily for early morning, day shifts and on weekends. Late nights are often a necessity as we host many kinds of functions. Key Responsibilities Include: Following hygienic food and beverage handling procedures Store and present food in designated containers and storage areas to prevent spoilage. Portion and wrap the food or place it directly on plates for service to patrons. Take and record temperature of food and food storage areas, such as refrigerators and freezers. Prepare a variety of foods, such as meats, vegetables, or desserts, according to customers'' orders or supervisors'' instructions, following approved procedures.
