We are constantly learning, embracing the challenges of today and excited by the opportunities that tomorrow will bring.The roleSouth East Water is now looking for a Governance, Risk, Compliance (GRC) and Assurance Officer who will be responsible for leading South East Waters cybersecurity GRC and assurance initiatives. Reporting directly to the CISO, this role is vital for maintaining regulatory compliance, monitoring cybersecurity risks, and strengthening SEW''s security posture.Key responsibilities include:Develop, maintain, and review security standards, policies, processes, and procedures to align with best practicesEnsure compliance with relevant cybersecurity frameworks, including NIST, VPDSS, and internal security standardsSupport developing and managing a Common Controls Framework (CCF) to streamline security and compliance controlsConduct risk assessments to identify security control gaps, exceptions, and areas for improvementProvide regular updates and reports to the CISO on cybersecurity risks, compliance status, and assurance activities.Who are you?The successful candidate will be a seasoned GRCA Officer, with a minimum of five years'' experience in cybersecurity governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) or related functions and a Bachelor''s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Risk Management, or other related field.A strategic thinker, with a sharp eye for risk, compliance and assurance, you''ll have a working knowledge of NIST, VPDSS, ISA 62443, ISO 27001, CIS, and other security frameworks to be able to strengthen our governance, ensure regulatory compliance and drive a culture of accountability across the organisation.
