As part of a diverse team of more than 400 employees, you will contribute to a thriving organisation making a significant impact across the community and beyond.For more information, please visit our website: www.ckb.wa.gov.auAbout the OpportunityThe City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder is looking for a full-time Manager Airport based at Kalgoorlie-Boulder Airport, WA.Reporting to the Director Corporate & Commercial, this critical leadership role is responsible for the safe, compliant, and efficient management of airport operations in line with national regulations and local government priorities.More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:Managing the overall operational control of Kalgoorlie-Boulder AirportDeveloping and maintaining emergency and security plans as per Air Navigation Act and Civil Aviation RegulationsConducting inspections of Obstacle Limitation Surfaces and initiating remediationOverseeing aerodrome technical inspections per Civil Aviation Safety RegulationsLeading airport teams with a focus on safety, performance, and complianceManaging security screening for passengers and baggageBudget preparation, management, and reportingEngaging key stakeholders and contributing to airport-related projectsTo read the full position description, please click here.About YouTo qualify, you will need tertiary qualifications in aviation operations or substantial demonstrated experience in managing major regional or capital city airport operations. Experience in aviation or airport regulatory/compliance is essential.The following certifications are also required:Aviation Lead Auditor QualificationAviation Investigation QualificationRadiotelephony LicenceEligibility for an AusCheck ASICWA C Class drivers licenceCurrent National Police ClearanceThe following skills and qualifications are desirable and highly valued:Certificate IV in Training & AssessmentReporting Officer/Works Safety Officer CertificateStakeholder engagement and team leadership experienceBudget and financial reporting expertiseStrong connections with other airports and airlines, including experience liaising with major carrierAs our ideal candidate, you will possess excellent stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills, the ability to think on your feet and stay composed under pressure.
