There are nine surgical specialties in Australasia being: Cardiothoracic Surgery, General Surgery, Neurosurgery, Orthopaedic Surgery, Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, Paediatric Surgery, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Urology and Vascular Surgery.About the roleIn this role, your primary focus is to deliver the federally funded project under the Flexible Approach to Training in Rural Setting (FATES 1) - Rural Accreditation addressing barriers to rural specialist training.You will help plan and run the project, track its progress, and make sure the work is done on time and on budget. Youll also help share research findings about the challenges rural hospitals face when trying to become accredited for training, and youll work with a wide range of stakeholdersboth inside and outside the College. Duties include; Keep the project running smoothly by scheduling tasks, managing deadlines, and keeping an eye on the budget. Bring together input from different teams and outside consultants to make sure the project goals are met. Help communicate project progress to executives, working groups, and external partners. Write up reports and research findings in plain language to share with stakeholders. Work with others to promote the project and keep everyone informed. Support meetings by preparing agendas and taking minutes.Skills and Experience A degree and/or relevant experience in project coordination, research, or a health-related field. Experience working in health, education, or government settingsespecially with accreditation processesis advantageous. Strong organisational and time management skills. Good writing and communication skillsyoull need to prepare reports, write meeting notes, and explain findings clearly.
