Direct message the job poster from AscendionEnterprise Talent Specialist Empowering Enterprise | Driving Career Growth & Organizational Success in Poland , Malaysia, Singapore & Australia & NZRole: Quality assurance EngineerLocation: Sydney ,AustraliaRequired qualificationsDefine and design test cases/scripts from requirements and ensure traceability with specificationsImplement Test Strategy/ Design and Perform testsCreate test plans, test cases/scriptsExecute functional/non-functional test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results and provide test reportsTest and provide sign off in various environments before releasing to productionEnsure that the testing of application software and systems for quality prior to approving its releaseBe responsible for the project, product or release quality control.Ensure QA standards, process and procedures are followed in the projectsMaintains active participation in project teams for all phases of the projectsMaintain active participation in the internal and external QA forumsWork in a scrum team environment within a Safe trainWork with cross-functional, cross-site global teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycleConsiders the strategic advantages of automated tool use when conducting analysisProvide accurate information to developers in order to fix defectsDocument and report the software defects and their statusDevelop and update support documentation as needed to ensure that the documentation and applications are in agreementParticipate in specification reviews to give input on testing requirements.Report and communicate on test activities to the line organization, software developers, product definitions analysts.Interpret business requirements and collaborate with various stakeholdersParticipate and provide input in various scrum and safe activitiesFostering a quality-first approach and continuous improvement mindset across the scrum teamSkills and CompetenciesTechnicalKnowledge on webservice/XML testingExperience in Test Planning, Test case design, Test strategy, Test validationExperience on creating any Automation/Regression FrameworkExperience on any scripting language, preference for PythonExperience in working with regular expressions is a plusKnowledge and experience on GIT/STASHUnderstand and demonstrate functional expertiseExcellent analytical and problem solving skillsExperience in Jenkins will be plusKnowledge in testing Cloud based applications is a plusKnowledge on Soap/Rest UIExperience/Knowledge on agile methodologiesHands-on experience with TDD (test driven development) and ideally BDD (behavioral driven development)Should have knowledge on SDLC and STLCNice to havePSS systems (airlines systems) and travel domainKnowledge on Octane, JIRA, ConfluenceAbout Ascendion:Ascendion is a Global, leading provider of AI-first software engineering services, delivering transformative solutions across North America, APAC, and Europe.
