The Deflector Operation involves high-grade Gold/Copper mines located 160km east of Geraldton, with complex lodes including Deflector and Deflector Southwest deposits. Reporting to the Processing Manager, the Fixed Plant Maintenance Superintendent will lead a team of Maintenance Planners, mechanical fitters, boilermakers, and electricians. Responsibilities include supervising maintenance of the plant, borefields, infrastructure, and village, achieving budget targets, and advising senior management on maintenance issues. This role is vital for maintaining plant availability and reliability, based on an 8:6, 4:3 FIFO roster from Perth. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement maintenance strategies aligned with equipment needs. Ensure optimal processing plant output through effective maintenance and breakdown response. Review and optimize maintenance practices. Meet maintenance cost targets. Prepare and present maintenance reports. Implement and record maintenance schedules accurately. Participate in planning of maintenance activities, including shutdowns. Lead by example in troubleshooting and prioritizing work orders. Coordinate between Mechanical, Electrical, and Village maintenance teams. Provide leadership to Maintenance Supervisors and Leading Hand Fitters. Build relationships with supply and production teams. Maintain workshop facilities and equipment. About You Over 10 years of site maintenance experience, including 4+ years in a senior supervisory role. Mechanical Trade Qualification. Knowledge of WA Mines Safety and related legislation. Experience with crushing, milling, flotation, and filtration circuits. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in MS Office and maintenance systems (Pronto or SWM preferred). Cert IV in Frontline Management. CN Franna ticket or higher. Essential tickets: Confined Space, Working at Heights, EWP, Forklift, Rigging & Dogging. Fault-finding experience with pumps and hydraulic systems is highly regarded.
