The Deflector Operation includes two high-grade, narrow vein Gold/Copper mines, located 160km east of Geraldton. The ore is contained within complex lodes, namely the Deflector and Deflector Southwest deposits. Reporting to the Processing Manager, the Fixed Plant Maintenance Superintendent will oversee a team of Maintenance Planners, mechanical fitters, boilermakers, and electricians. Responsibilities include supervising plant maintenance, borefields, site infrastructure, and village, as well as achieving budget targets and advising senior management on maintenance issues. This is an exciting opportunity to join Deflector Processing and contribute to the success of the team by maintaining plant availability and reliability. This position is offered on an 8:6, 4:3 FIFO roster from Perth. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement maintenance strategies aligned with equipment and operational needs. Ensure optimal plant output through effective maintenance and breakdown response. Review and optimize maintenance practices. Meet maintenance cost targets. Prepare and present maintenance reports. Implement and record maintenance schedules accurately and promptly. Participate in planning maintenance activities, including shutdowns. Lead by example in resolving maintenance issues, prioritizing work orders. Coordinate maintenance efforts across Mechanical, Electrical, and Village teams. Provide leadership to Maintenance Supervisors, Electrical Supervisors, and Leading Hand Fitters. Build relationships with supply and production personnel. Maintain workshop facilities and equipment. About You Minimum of 10+ years of site maintenance experience, including 4+ years in a senior supervisory role. Mechanical Trade Qualification. Knowledge of WA Mines Safety and Inspection Act, Regulations, and relevant legislation. Strong understanding of crushing, ball milling, flotation, and filtration circuits. Organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in MS Office and maintenance systems (preferably Pronto or SWM). Cert IV in Frontline Management. CN Franna ticket or higher. Essential tickets: Confined Space, Working at Heights, EWP, Forklift, Rigging & Dogging. Experience with pump and hydraulic fault-finding is highly regarded. Current C Class drivers license and Senior First Aid Certificate. HR drivers license and High Risk licenses are desirable.
