Reporting to the Principal and working closely with a small but cohesive leadership team, the Director will support the development of strategy and operational plans, oversee the smooth operation of the schools financial administration and ensure all statutory and legal obligations are met. The Director will play a pivotal role in driving both internal cohesion and external engagement as the school looks to strengthen the offering for students and families.The Director of Business Operations is responsible for overseeing and managing the schools financial, operational, and administrative functions. This role ensures the effective and efficient operation of the schools business activities, including finance, risk management, property and maintenance, IT, and Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S). Key challenges for the position will include optimising resources while maintaining quality and compliance, ensuring the school keeps pace with technological advancements, maintaining effective communication with all stakeholders, and providing support for effective change management.The successful appointee will bring a strategic and solutions-focused mindset to this multifaceted leadership role. Key capabilities include strong financial acumen and problem-solving skills, along with an ability to adapt to changing circumstances. Experience in property management is essential, combined with a sound understanding of risk management, governance and compliance and the ability to manage outsourced IT services. An entrepreneurial spirit will be highly valued, combined with strong leadership and collaboration skills to inspire teams and foster a cohesive and inclusive culture.
