We care for thousands of children each year in our hospitals and in their homes with one purpose in mind to help young people live their healthiest lives.Click here to learn more about our NetworkAdditional InformationAn eligibility list may be created for future permanent full or part time and temporary full or part time vacancies.What You''ll Be DoingThe position of the electronic medical records (eMR) Training and Support Officer sits within the Application Training and Support Unit (ATSU) as part of the Directorate of Strategy and Innovation.This position is an integral part of the on-going development, implementation and support of digital health solutions across the Sydney Children''s Hospitals Network (SCHN).Supporting SCHN staff through change and adoption is critical to the success in delivering new innovative programs to our organisation. Our innovative and dynamic team play a key role in the adoption, implementation and on-going support of the eMR and other business applications. As such these position holders must display excellent communication skills, be agile and demonstrate commitment to the development and support of education solutions supporting complete business requirements. The incumbent''s experience within healthcare and/or education will assist in identifying and focusing learning needs. Requirements of the role include and applying effective training techniques for clinical and nonclinical staff and developing innovative techniques improving patient outcomes. They will work closely with the eMR and project management office (PMO) teams and other SCHN stakeholders providing advice and guidance on issues and problems related to training whilst supporting staff through change across the Network.Clinical experience in Nursing, Medicine or an Allied Health discipline or demonstrated knowledge and experience working within an eMR education or training role.Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment or equivalent demonstrated experience and high level skills in facilitating learning processes.Experience in the organisation, development, delivery and evaluation of training syllabi to users of clinical systems and coordination of flexible training programs to suit the needs and best learning methods of staff.Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to prepare training material and reports, give presentations, engage clinicians, negotiate change and effectively communicate to a wide range of health professionalsExcellent planning, time management and organisational skills particularly in the area of managing multiple tasks, working within a team and multi-disciplinary issues to meet deadlines.Demonstrated high level proficiency with current Microsoft Office products.Availability and ability to work outside normal working hours (i.e. 24x7 operations), including on-call support.Current NSW drivers'' license and willingness to travel to all facilities within the Sydney Children''s Hospitals Network.For roles that require formal qualifications, please note that overseas qualifications must be assessed by the Department of Education or the relevant authority appointed by the Australian Government for skilled migration purposes.SCHN is an Equal Opportunity Employer that values diversity - we acknowledge the vibrancy that a diverse workforce brings to enhance both our workplace culture and our service delivery to children, young people and their families and carers.
