Active Education has been providing a broad range of school camps, day programs & outdoor education services to schools for over 30 years with our base at Aldinga Beach Campsite.We are looking for an experienced Program Manager as well as an experienced Program Coordinator to join our close-knit management team. The right people are:Passionate advocates of the importance and value of outdoor education experiences for young peopleOutgoing, approachable and supportive leaders who can oversee teams and programs at multiple locationsExperienced outdoor educators with extensive program development & delivery experienceDedicated managers able to manage complex planning, coordination & logistics with attention to detailKey responsibilities include:Overseeing the planning, execution, and evaluation of outdoor educational programs, including staff rosters and program logistics.Recruiting, training and developing a team of permanent and casual staff while maintaining a positive and supportive culture.Maintaining high safety standards and ensuring all operations comply with relevant regulations.Liaising with customers and external partners as the primary program contact for events, facilitating strong relationships and addressing any issues swiftly.Qualifications & Experience:5+ years in a middle or senior management role in Outdoor Education, Tourism, Education, Teaching, Adventure Services, and/or Residential Camp experience, all highly valued.Recognised qualification in Outdoor Education and/or relevant experience with recreation certificates (such as, canoeing, aquatics, bushwalking).Working knowledge of the Australian National Curriculum and its application in residential and journey-based school camps highly regarded.Wilderness First Aid certification and a current driver''s licence.Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.About Active Education:Our enduring mission is to create opportunities for every child from every walk of life to participate in nature-based outdoor education experiences and to learn by doing, discover by experiencing and be challenged by choice.
