With a bold new operating model underway, this is a pivotal time to join our executive team.About the RoleAs GM - Growth & Innovation, you will be at the forefront of reimagining Touch Footballs sport system. This executive-level role will lead national participation strategies, program innovation, digital transformation, high-performance integration, and workforce capability frameworks - creating clear, inspiring, and supported journeys for players, referees, coaches, and volunteers alike.This is a rare opportunity to shape the end-to-end sport ecosystem, drive growth through data-led insights and product innovation, and ensure long-term relevance and accessibility across generations.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and lead national strategies for participation, game development, pathways, and performanceInnovate new sport products and digital platforms to enhance participant experienceDirect national program delivery, including Women in Touch, All Abilities, Tiny Touch & moreBuild a national capability framework for referees, coaches, and volunteersChampion inclusion, sustainability, and evidence-based decision-makingOversee high performance in proportion to the sports scale and resourcesCollaborate with internal leaders, NRL, ASC, and other key stakeholdersRepresent TFA in high-level strategic, industry and government forumsWhat Youll Bring7+ years leading participation, pathways or innovation portfolios in sport or aligned sectors3-5 years in executive leadership or cross-functional national rolesExpertise in digital transformation, service design, and data-driven strategyStrong stakeholder engagement skills across federated systems and external partnersTrack record of successfully leading teams and innovation pipelinesExperience designing and reporting on participation frameworks aligned with funding bodiesRelevant tertiary qualifications (e.g. sport management, innovation, design thinking)A passion for community sport and participant-centred designWhy TFA?Join a bold and innovative national sport on the riseDrive real impact in participation, inclusion and future growthBe part of a purpose-led leadership team with national reachFlexible and hybrid working arrangements availableTouch Football Australia values diversity and is committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.Please note: Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted.
