Join to apply for the Consultant Urogynaecologist role at Western Health2 days ago Be among the first 25 applicantsJoin to apply for the Consultant Urogynaecologist role at Western HealthGet AI-powered advice on this job and more exclusive features.We are seeking a highly qualified individual to take on a key leadership role in advancing and expanding the Urogynaecology Service at Western Health.The Clinical Lead Consultant Urogynaecologist will lead our growing team and service, supported by the Head of Gynaecology and broader Womens and Childrens leadership team.We invite fellows with a Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) and who hold a Certification as a Urogynaecologist (CU) by RANZCOG or possess an equivalent specialist recognition to apply.This position entails leading, developing, and growing a tertiary referral urogynaecology service for women experiencing incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, and pelvic floor dysfunction, as part of the multi-disciplinary Pelvic Floor Unit. The service is supported by General Gynaecologists with special interest in pelvic floor surgery. It is complemented by a team of advanced practice women''s health physiotherapists, a dedicated pessary review clinic and continence clinic and trained staff for urodynamicsResponsibilities include the assessment of women through outpatient clinics (including the transvaginal mesh management service), procedural office urogynaecology including urodynamic studies, outpatient cystoscopy, and pelvic floor ultrasound scanning; surgical procedures; ward rounds; teaching and supervising junior medical staff and medical students; and contributing to research activities.Position DescriptionAbout Western HealthWestern Health is one of the largest healthcare providers in Victoria, caring for a vibrant, diverse and rapidly growing community of one million people in Melbournes western suburbs.With more than 13,000 staff, Western Health delivers 800,000+ occasions of care every year, providing high-quality, person-centred care across every life stage.We provide a combination of hospital, community-based, at-home and in-reach servicesto aged, adult and paediatric patients and newborn babies.
