They are looking for an Accounts Operations Manager to be responsible for the effective day to day management of the Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions of the business with. strong operational and hands-on focus.Reporting to the Financial Controller, the role plays a critical part in supporting business initiatives, overseeing transactional finance operations, and ensuring financial controls are operating effectively. The role also contributes to the companys internal audit program, drives projects from the business plan (including operational efficiencies, digital transformation and AI initiatives), and provides backfill support to the team as needed.In this role you will lead, coach & motivate the transactional team, drive process and system improvements, and provide a high level of customer service. As a manager you will work collaboratively in partnering with other functional area to drive company''s strategic initiatives and ensure that the team is providing quality service to both internal and external customers.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESThe Accounts Operations Manager performs a wide range of duties that may include, but are not limited to:Accounts PayableOversee and ensure timely, accurate processing of invoices, payments, and supplier reconciliations.Maintain supplier relationships, resolve disputes and escalations, and manage payment workflows in line with the Delegation of Authority (DoA).Monitor cash flow requirements and payment cycles.Ensuring timely and appropriate attendance to queries in the centralised Inbox.Providing insights into companys travel expenses by reviewing and reporting on transactions from our expense management system.Managing the corporate credit card and expense management program.Accounts ReceivableSupervise invoicing, receipting, and customer collections activities.Maintain customer account reconciliations, monitor aged debtors, and manage credit control processes.Collaborate with internal teams to resolve outstanding balances and customer issues.Ensuring timely and appropriate attendance to queries in the centralised Inbox.Reviews of any bad debt write-offs and recommendations to FC/CFO.Ensuring integrity of accounts receivable and accounts payable transaction data is maintained at all times and exception reporting is reviewed regularly.Oversee the national deployment, setup, and decommissioning of EFTPOS terminals.Ensure coordination with service providers for installation and maintenance.Reconcile EFTPOS transactions across all locations and resolve banking discrepancies.Audit, Projects & InitiativesSupport and help execute the internal audit program by ensuring transactional controls are effective, documented, and regularly reviewed.Identify, assess, and lead improvements in AP/AR processes to eliminate manual tasks and develop cross-training programs in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external auditors.Contribute to finance and business-wide projects, including digital transformation, automation, and the integration of AI solutions.Assist in implementing system upgrades or new tools to streamline finance operations.Lead, manage, train, and mentor the AP/AR team providing support for the day-to-day performance.Provide hands-on support by backfilling transactional tasks during periods of leave or high workload.Foster a continuous improvement culture within the team.Reporting & CompliancePrepare accurate and timely reporting on AP, AR, cash flow, and KPIs especially for month end and the CFO report. Support the FBP in their reporting as and when required.Support month-end processes including reconciliations and accruals.Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and external audit requirements.Develop, implement and maintain systems, procedures and policies relevant to the transactional team.TransformationWork collaboratively with the business to efficiently and effectively plan and implement the transition to an aligned and integrated organisation.Lead on the finance transactional aspects of the company transformation to drive financial alignment as appropriate across the group.Support the delivery of finance transformation initiatives, including digitisation, automation, and system upgrades impacting AP/AR and cash operations.Ensure transactional finance processes are optimised, standardised, and scalable to support future growth.Contribute to change management and training activities to embed new systems and processes across the transactional finance function.Other duties as required.About youWe are looking for someone with strong people skills and leadership experience who can lead a cohesive team.
