Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Tourism and Economic Development Coordinator plays a vital role in leading and coordinating the Council''s economic development plans as well as managing the tourism functions for the Shire. Coordinate, facilitate, and support community and tourism events and activities to showcase the area, enhance communication between Council and the community, and drive visitation. About you You are motivated with a can-do attitude. You have contemporary experience in a similar role and are committed to ongoing professional development. Experience in tourism, event management, retail operations, social media, and promotional marketing is preferred. Skills in customer service, public relations, problem-solving, and multi-tasking are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, website content management, and social media platforms. Current Class C Driver''s License and RSA certification. You demonstrate a collaborative approach and a commitment to excellent service. Exceptional interpersonal skills to negotiate and achieve win-win outcomes. The Benefits Based in Crookwell, with regional employer status. Flexible work up to 70 hours per fortnight. Attractive salary and leave entitlements, with a salary range of $1,707.18 to $1,931.00 per week plus superannuation, depending on skills and experience. This position is classified as Grade 14 under the Council''s Salary System and the Local Government (State) Award 2023.
