We seek to treat all people with respect, serve our listeners and community well.The Role Involves:Researching and writing newsIdentifying suitable sources and conducting interviewsAudio editing and scripting of news storiesProducing and presenting high quality news bulletins to tight deadlinesRepresenting the company in a professional and courteous mannerOpportunities may also exist to write website articles for news and current affairsCasual Shift Details:Occasional casual shifts as needed, between the hours of 4:30am6:30pm weekdaysAvailable to work shifts at short noticeThe successful applicant will:Have a degree in Journalism, Communications or a related fieldExperience in producing and presenting radio news bulletinsDisplay strong news judgementHave the ability to write accurate and concise radio news storiesWork to tight deadlines and remain calm under pressureDemonstrate initiative and have the capability to seek out and break news storiesProduce excellent work in keeping with high journalistic standardsBe a proactive self-starter capable of working independentlyBe a strong team playerHave a firm belief in the mission, vision and values of Hope MediaReady to Apply?Send your application with a cover letter addressing how you meet each of the criteria, CV, and air check/audio sample via this link .
