We are the main provider of health services to people living in the inner southeast suburbs of Melbourne, from ambulatory to inpatient and home and community-based services.Permanent Part Time Position16 hours per fornightWelfare Worker, Grade 1Department of GastroenterologyThe DepartmentThe Alfred is home to one of Victorias most comprehensive gastroenterology services.The Alfred Gastroenterology Department is responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of patientswith suspected or established gastrointestinal and liver disease including the appropriate utilisation ofdiagnostic and therapeutic gastrointestinal endoscopy and other investigations. Clientele includeinpatients admitted electively or via the Emergency Department directly to the Gastroenterology Unitor referred for investigation and management from other Units within The Alfred, as well asoutpatients managed in the General Gastroenterology, Hepatitis, Liver, Inflammatory Bowel Disease,Functional GI Disorders (FGID), PEG, Hepatoma and Endoscopy Clinics.
