If you possess strong analytical skills, a proactive approach, and a commitment to excellence, we invite you to be part of a team that sets the standard in the material handling industry.About the Role:Reporting to the National Parts Manager, this position is responsible for leading TMHAs national inventory control for the National Parts Distribution Centre (NPDC) as well as supporting Toyota Material Handling Australia (TMHA) branches to achieve optimum inventory and branch parts service rates.Key duties & responsibilities:Monitor and continually update Toyota Material Handling Australia (TMHA) National Parts Distribution Centre (NPDC) inventory levels, utilising TMHA ERP/reporting systems to effectively manage stock requirements, shortages and ongoing accurate maintenance of stocked itemsAnalyse sales and inventory data to support decisions regarding TMHA stock levels; identifying trends, forecasting demand, and optimising inventory levelsPlan and lead National Parts Distribution Centre (NPDC) stocktaking and cycle counts process in collaboration with warehouse team, ensuring compliance with TMHA stocktake policyInvestigate inventory variances, identifying cause and implementing corrective actionsMonitor and support TMHA branch parts teams in achieving stocktake requirements, verifying that branch stocktakes for main warehouse, service van and fixed sites are completed in accordance with TMHA stocktake policyEnsure TMHA WHSE policies and procedures are adhered to within NPDC and branch networkLead rolling obsolete and/or excess stock returns process with TMHA branch networkProvide structured monthly reporting, focusing on key department KPIs and highlighting improvement opportunities with proposed solutionsProvide timely information and support to TMHA national parts team and branches as neededLiaise with suppliers (local and international) and transport/logistics providers for inventory planning purposes, efficient stock replenishment as well as following up discrepanciesEnsure order backlog is monitored and maintained in TMHA ERP System, reconciling against shipments received and following up with relevant TMHA suppliersMaintain & update records regarding local and OEM pricing reviews in collaboration with National Parts Manager as well as seasonal specials and/or special offersIdentify opportunities to minimise waste and improve TMHA inventory operational efficiencyProvide monthly inventory reporting with proposed countermeasures to National Parts Manager for NPDC and TMHA branch parts departmentsRequired skills, knowledge & experience:Strong analytical and problem-solving abilityWorking knowledge of inventory control principles with a minimum of 3 years experienceStrong organisational, planning and time management skillsLeadership ability to guide and support individuals as well as parts teamsGood communication and interpersonal skillsCustomer Service Focused (both internal and external)Material Handling and/or capital equipment experience - PreferredAttention to detail, ability to identify gaps and opportunitiesSound systems and general computer knowledge, i.e., ERP, excel, PowerPoint & wordTeam orientatedAbout the CompanyToyota Material Handling Australia (TMHA) is Australias number one forklift company.TMHA is fully owned by the Toyota Industries Corporation (TICO).
