Administrator and Accounts Officer Part-time & Flexible2-3 days per week (preferably Monday, Wednesday and/or Thursday)Your opportunityWe are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Administrator to support our efficient and proactive team. As an experienced administrator you will play an important role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Executive Committee, team administration and you will undertake bookkeeping duties.Day to day you will:Coordinate and support meetings, including AGMs, for the Executive Committee, Central Council, and Accreditation Committee (prepare agendas, manage report submissions, and draft minutes).Provide membership administration support.Respond to and triage incoming calls and emails via the mailbox, offering excellent customer service.Oversee general office management, including electronic filing and document organisation.Proactively manage invoicing, accounts payable, and receivables using Xero.Handle account reconciliations, expense reporting, and financial documentation in coordination with the Treasurer and General Manager.Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records.Assist the General Manager with Annual Reports and key projects.Provide support to the Executive Committee, particularly the President, Treasurer, and Secretary.Develop and maintain a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) manual for office operations.To be considered for the opportunity you will bring:Strong administration experience.Bookkeeping experience (a certificate in bookkeeping is desirable).Experience with Xero or similar accounting software.Strong organisational and time management skills.Excellent customer service and communication abilities.Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records.Ability to work collaboratively in a small team environment.Australian Work Rights.About UsThe Statistical Society of Australia (SSA) has a vision to amplify the power, use and practice of statistics and data science across Australia.
