We consistently deliver value to clients throughout all mining stages, leveraging expertise and equipment for comprehensive surface operation services.About The RoleBUMA in partnership with Stanwell, are currently seeking motivated Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants who reside within the Kingaroy & Cherbourg community to apply for our 12-month Trainee Operator fixed term contract positions.As a Trainee Operator, you will learn to safely operate Haul Trucks whilst undergoing a nationally recognised qualification.Please note this is a Residential Mine no camp accommodation or housing provided. As such this role would be best suited to current or returning residents of the Kingaroy region.Key Responsibilities IncludeOperate machinery and equipment under supervision, including Haul Trucks and other mobile plant.Assist with general mining operations such as hauling, and stockpiling materials.Follow strict safety protocols and participate in safety briefings and training sessions.Learn and apply mine site procedures, environmental policies, and standard operating practices.Work as part of a team to meet production targets while maintaining site safety and efficiency.Communicate effectively with supervisors, trainers, and co-workers.Complete a nationally recognised qualification.Participate in shift rosters as assigned.About YouHold a current QLD Drivers Licence, with the ability to confidently operate a vehicle.Ability to undergo a Coal Board Medical, Criminal History Check and Drug & Alcohol screen.Ability to provide two references, along with proof of residential address.Ability to commit and complete a 12-month fixed term contract with relevant study.Communication, coordination and safety skills.Working At BUMABUMA Australia is a people focused business, with a strong emphasis on safety, training, development and continuous improvement. We are responsible for both managing and operating the mine.Services provided include planning, drilling, overburden removal, coal mining, coal processing, rehabilitation, and maintenance of mobile and fixed plant. The project uses a combination of dragline and truck-and shovel operations.
