This is a permanent part-time role, working 30 hours per week, across four (4) days, with some days to be worked from our Liverpool site. You''ll also have the exciting opportunity to attend our indigenous outreach program from time to time. Reporting directly to the National Diagnostic Audiology Manager, youll make a difference in this role by:providing diagnostic audiology services for children aged 0 to 18undertaking assessments of hearing thresholds of children using behavioural techniques such as visual reinforcement, audiometry, conditioned play audiometry or conventional audiometryusing impedance audiometry to evaluate middle ear status and acoustic reflexesundertaking assessments of hearing sensitivity of children using electrophysiological measures, such as OAE and ABRensuring NextSense''s legislative and policy requirements are met by undertaking various administrative duties to maintain client records, information and case notesliaising with key stakeholders in the communities in which our outreach programs take placeThe RoleRoleNextSense has an exciting opportunity for a Paediatric Audiologist to join our team based primarily at our brand new centre for innovation, located on campus at Macquarie University. This nationally significant social infrastructure project will be a place to nurture, trial and share new ideas and form new partnerships that will drive better outcomes for people who are deaf, hard of hearing, blind or have low vision.To be successful in this role you''ll need to demonstrate you meet the following selection criteria.EssentialRelevant undergraduate qualifications and at least three (3) years professional experienceProven ability to work with children and their familiesExperience in undertaking audiological assessmentsProven organisational and time management skillsWell-developed communication, presentation and computer skillsAble to work collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary teamA strong working knowledge of and commitment to best practice and standards of quality in audiologyparticularly paediatric diagnostic audiologyCapacity and willingness to obtain a Medicare provider number to undertake the roleA valid driver''s licenceA verified Working with Children Check, Criminal Record Check and NDIS Worker CheckDesirableA working knowledge of electrophysiological testsPracticing member of Audiology AustraliaStrong appreciation and understanding of technology and an aptitude for learningWere here to help.
