Moffatt & Nichol specialises in large complex waterfront infrastructure projects and is recognized as one of the worldwide leaders in this field. We are actively looking for a Principal Port Planner with a specialisation in container terminals, general cargo/break-bulk terminals, multi-purpose terminals and offshore wind terminals in the Oceania Region. The Principal Port Planner will be part of a team in the business development, planning, analysis, and design of ports and terminals. Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice.Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Engineering, Commerce or Planning; required15+ years of strategic planning, design, operation and/or management of ports, terminals and waterfront developments; requiredProven business development track record with client management skillsExperience managing projects listed above and developing business with clients; requiredAbility to mentor and train othersParticipation in industry associations and professional groups.Permanent residency or citizenship in AustraliaProfessional engineering registration preferredExcellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)Availability and willingness to travelBi-lingual / multi-lingual desiredAll new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171Working conditions:Work is generally performed in an office or client office setting.
