Reporting to the Head of People & Culture, youll lead a national Work Health & Safety team, setting clear expectations and standards while delivering results.Youll be the go-to expert in safety risk management, hazard management, injury and claims management, and emergency preparedness, all while ensuring full compliance across national legislation and standards. This includes overseeing audits, improving systems, and making strategic recommendations that enhance the safety and effectiveness of our entire organisation.This is a Permanent full-time role, located at our Port Road, Hindmarsh office.You willLead, support, and inspire a national WHS team to deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes.Conduct building safety audits, risk assessments, and maintain compliance and accreditation processes.Manage WHS incidents and investigations through to resolution.Oversee injury and claims management with a focus on proactive and timely resolution.Drive continuous improvement initiatives in risk assessment, auditing, and safety training.Develop and implement WHS frameworks, procedures, and policies aligned to strategic goals.Collaborate across departments and lead crisis management and business continuity activities.Partner with external providers and review performance of WHS-related services.About YouYoure a proactive and strategic safety leader with:Proven experience leading a WHS team, particularly in complex, multi-site or multi-sector environments.Qualifications in Work Health & Safety, Return to Work or Personal Injury Management or equivalent (Diploma or above).Ability to lead through influence, build trust across teams, and drive a culture of accountability.Deep understanding of high-risk work environments across both blue- and white-collar sectors.Strong communication and report writing skills, including abilities in analysis of dataDemonstrated abilities in the management and administration of workplace injuries and claimsHands-on experience with safety systems like iAuditor, Skytrust, or similarYou may also have:Experience withISO 9001 and Lead Auditor certificationICAM Lead Investigator trainingKnowledge of Labour-hire, RTO, DESRequirements:National Police Check and relevant working with children/vulnerable people clearances (or willingness to obtain)Ready to make a difference?
