Focused on providing on-demand power and vast storage capacity, this project is paving the way for a sustainable, low-carbon future.The RoleBased in Cooma, the Risk Assurance Officer is responsible for providing oversight and assurance on risk management practices across all phases of the construction project. This includes identifying, assessing, and monitoring project risks, ensuring compliance with the clients governance frameworks, and facilitating the implementation of effective risk mitigation strategies. The role involves working closely with internal project teams, contractors, and external stakeholders to ensure risks are proactively managed and reported.As this position is based in Cooma, the ideal candidate will be available to relocate. Snowy Hydro offers a relocation package to support your move. Alternatively, we are open to considering weekly FIFO (Fly-In, Fly-Out) or DIDO (Drive-In, Drive-Out) arrangements to Cooma.Key Responsibilities Include:Developing and implementing the project''s risk management frameworksFacilitating risk workshops with project stakeholders to identify and evaluate potential risksMaintaining and regularly updating the project''s risk registerMonitoring contractor compliance with risk management plans and contractual obligationsConducting assurance reviews to assess the effectiveness of risk controls and mitigation strategiesPreparing and delivering regular risk assurance reports to the client, project board, or steering committeeProviding input into governance frameworks and decision-making processes, ensuring risks are considered and documentedLiaising with contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders to coordinate risk-related activitiesSupporting document control processes related to risk managementEnsuring risk-related records, registers, and reports are maintained accurately and are audit-readyWhat You''ll BringStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify potential risks and develop practical mitigation strategies within a similar role and industry. Youll have a proactive and detail-oriented approach, ensuring compliance with governance frameworks while maintaining clear and accurate documentation.Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills are essential, as the role requires close collaboration with project teams, contractors, and senior leadership.
