Thats why were a leader in next-generation cybersecurity.Protection Starts with People.The Role and the TeamThe Senior Security Solutions Engineer is a seasoned cyber security expert responsible for monitoring, configuring, and maintaining email security environments (PPS/POD, TAP, TRAP/CTR) to ensure optimal performance and protection against threats. The engineer manages all aspects of the customer''s email security systems within the managed services scope. including configurations, health checks, best practices, and various proactive tasks performed toward improving the security posture of customer environments.In addition, Senior Security Solutions Engineers will be responsible for the development and improvement of internal processes, procedures, and drive collaboration across business units to help streamline service delivery. They will serve as an escalation point and mentor for other team members.This role is Melbourne, Australia based.Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions:Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on Proofpoint''s email security managed services and best practicesServe as an escalation point for other engineers on the team and customer issuesMaximize system and email security performanceRespond to customer requests for rules changes, feature additions, policy updates, and routing configurationsLead technical discussions with customers and partnering organizationsDeliver briefings on new product versions, features, and functionalityReview, enable, and configure new product features and enhancementsCollaborate with Threat Strategy Managers to onboard new customers from the Professional Services team, including defining and owning onboarding criteriaHandle customer escalations and monitor case''s progress to ensure accuracy and timely completion within Service Level Objective (SLO) guidelinesParticipate in and manage the teams on-call schedule, including after-hours and weekend supportProvide technical and analytical guidance to team membersProvide operational metrics and optimization recommendations to MTPS managementAdditional ResponsibilitiesPerform other duties as assignedAssess team training needs and recommend improvementsAdminister and support lab environmentsPreferred RequirementsBachelor''s degree in computer science, information technology, or related discipline.
