Working within the framework of the Family Law Act, you will guide families through complex issueshelping them reach agreements regarding parenting arrangements and property division. Your responsibilities will include intake, risk assessment, case management, and the delivery of tailored interventions such as mediation and child-inclusive practices.Beyond family law matters, you will also provide general mediation services if you are AMDRAS qualified to Interrelate clients across a variety of contexts. These may include workplace disputes, elder mediation, school-based conflicts, and parent-child relationship challenges. Your role will be to facilitate constructive dialogue, support clients in identifying key issues, explore options, and empower them to make informed, mutually beneficial decisions.Your role will be to deliver relationships and parenting courses as well.This is a unique opportunity to use your skills to foster understanding, reduce conflict, and create positive outcomes for individuals and families across diverse situations.Interviews likely to commence week starting 21st of July 2025.*Key Duties Will IncludeProvide family dispute resolution and general mediation services if AMDRAS qualifiedFacilitate groups, seminars and workshopsConduct intake assessments, develop case plans and parenting agreementsFacilitate effective referral and promotion of servicesParticipate in program and service evaluationsThe successful applicant must hold a Graduate Diploma in Family Dispute Resolution, and current accreditation with the Attorney General''s Department as a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner.For more information about how to gain this accreditation please visit addition to the required qualifications and FDR accreditation, the successful candidate will require strong people skills and the ability to work with clients on resolving issues by generating flexible and practical options.The position will be based at the Caringbah office with a requirement for evening work until 8pm on Tuesdays.The position is a Fixed term contract until 30 June 2026, working 30 hours per week.Hourly rate is in line with a SCHADS Award level 5, $53.24 per hour, plus 11.5% superannuation.About UsInterrelate is a not-for-profit provider of relationship and family support services. At Interrelate, we care about each other, focus on strengths, recognise achievements, celebrate significant events, encourage continuous learning and most importantly, enjoy our work despite the seriousness of what we do.Key Role RequirementsGraduate Diploma in Family Dispute Resolution, and current accreditation as a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner with the Attorney General''s Department.Bachelors degree in any discipline in addition to the Graduate Diploma Family Dispute Resolution is desirable.Demonstrated experience and skills in:delivering dispute resolution, family law, and/or mediation services with families and childrencasework with clients; implementing and supporting case plansfacilitating groups, seminars, and workshopsworking within a Family Law contextsolutions-focused and interpersonal communication skillsreport writing, case notes, data collection, and data entryworking with online systems and technology, such as a CRM (Client Relationship Management) System, Microsoft Teams and ZoomDemonstrated knowledge and understanding of:the process and purpose of child inclusive mediation practicethe issues facing diverse communities, including ATSI, CALD, and remote communitiesthe impact of family separation and breakdown on children, and having skills in managing high parental conflict whilst upholding the best interests of childrenchild development, child protection, mandatory reporting, suicide prevention/intervention, and family violence issuescommunity services, especially those relating to families experiencing relationship difficultiesthe Family Law Act and other relevant legislation, such as the Children and Young Persons (Care and Protection) Act and domestic violence legislationWhat We OfferWe offer the following competitive employment conditions:Salary Sacrificing and Packaging Options (superannuation, loans, credit cards, school fees)Additional days of paid leave on top of standard leave entitlementsScholarship programs & Study Assistance programTraining, Mentoring, Supervision, and access to ResourcesEmployee Assistance ProgramEmployee Awards and Appreciation ProgramHigh level of diversity in the roleHow To ApplyIf you think this role is for you, then please review the position description and selection criteria for the role.
