Principal Process EngineerAbout the RoleWere looking for a highly experienced Principal Process Engineer to lead the design and delivery of complex water and wastewater treatment projects across Victoria for a large multi-disciplinary consultancy in their Melbourne office. This is a senior leadership role for someone who combines deep technical expertise with strategic thinking, client engagement, and a passion for mentoring the next generation of engineers.Youll play a pivotal role in shaping sustainable infrastructure solutions, guiding multidisciplinary teams, and driving innovation in treatment plant design and delivery. They are open to bringing in Process Engineers at either the associate, principal, or technical director level.What Youll BringExtensive experience in delivering water and/or wastewater treatment infrastructure projects.Proven leadership in managing engineering design across urban and regional projects.Expertise in process engineering, including investigations, options assessments, and detailed design.Strong understanding of industry standards, innovations, and emerging technologies.Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status or eligibility to obtain it.Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage clients, operators, and stakeholders effectively.A collaborative mindset with a track record of building and maintaining long-term client relationships.A commitment to mentoring and developing junior engineers.Specialisation in clean water treatment is highly desirable.Your ImpactAs a Principal Process Engineer, you will:Lead technical teams in the delivery of complex water and wastewater treatment projects.Provide strategic direction and technical oversight throughout the project lifecycle.Mentor and support the development of emerging professionals within the team.Build trusted relationships with clients and contribute to business development.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to secure and deliver successful outcomes.Stay at the forefront of industry trends, research, and best practices.Why Join?Youll be part of a supportive, inclusive, and forward-thinking team that values innovation, diversity, and continuous improvement.
