Come and join us in defining and bringing to life the future of work!About the RoleThe role serves to champion and ensure utilisation of best Quality Engineering (QE) technologies and practices, setting clear expectations and processes with Product Owners and Engineers that prioritise quality and automation. The QE Specialist will be hands-on in developing and executing test cases, identifying defects, and ensuring applications are reliable and aligned with business and solution requirements.Key Responsibilities:Develop detailed test plans and test cases based on business requirements, functional specs, and design documentsExecute tests to validate functionality, including regression testing for system stabilityCreate and maintain comprehensive test documentation (test plans, test cases, results)Identify, document, and report defects; track resolution via Azure DevOpsManage and drive defects and blockers to resolution in a timely mannerAnalyse and recommend test tools and automation solutionsImplement and uphold efficient testing processes and quality standardsParticipate in code reviews and define quality gatesCollaborate with client teams for integration testing and user acceptance testing (UAT)Identify opportunities for test automationDesign and implement automation frameworks and strategiesTo Be Successful in This Role, You Will Have:Demonstrated experience developing detailed test plans and executing functional, regression, and integration testsProven ability to identify, track, and manage defects using test management tools (e.g., Azure DevOps)Experience in maintaining end-to-end test documentationStrong analytical skills to assess automation feasibility and drive automation strategyExperience designing and implementing automation frameworks and toolsFamiliarity with code review processes and setting quality gatesAbility to collaborate across teams and coordinate client-side testing (e.g. UAT)Sound knowledge of quality standards, continuous improvement practices, and QE methodologiesStrong communication and documentation skills, with attention to detailFlexibility to work in a managed services environment, including shift work, on-call rotations, and after-hours deployments as neededAdditional Requirements:Australian Citizenship (mandatory due to the secure nature of the role)Willingness and availability to support on-call duties, shift work, and after-hours deploymentUnderstanding of managed services environments and commitment to client system availability and performanceSeniority levelSeniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionJob functionQuality AssuranceIndustriesBanking and IT Services and IT ConsultingReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at Expert360 by 2xGet notified about new Test Analyst jobs in Ballarat, Victoria, Australia.Were unlocking community knowledge in a new way.
